Michelle Obama Speaks at Governor Pat Quinn's Rally
Yesterday, Michelle Obama headlined the list of speakers at the Democratic political rally for Governor Pat Quinn held at the University of Illinois Pavilion in Chicago. Many of the Illinois Democratic candidates up for election addressed the crowd of about 5,000 with Michelle Obama as the headliner to close the rally.
The candidates discussed healthcare, education and women’s issues. The importance of voting was emphasized, as traditionally, voting numbers go down during non-presidential elections.
After the speeches, the candidates posed for pictures and glad-handed the eager crowd.
