Last weekend, Expo Chicago,the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, took place at Navy Pier in Chicago. 140 Art Galleries from around the world gathered in Festival Hall to showcase their artists.

During the weekend, /Dialogues panel discussions were held in partnership with the Art Institute of Chicago. Also presented at the Pier were EXPO VIDEO, a curated selection of new media, film and video, IN/SITU and and EXPO Projects, a curated selection of site specific projects.

The exhibit area was HUGE.  Aisle after aisle of contemporary art of all kinds - paintings, sculptures, collages, fashion.  I spent 6 hours one day and did not see half of what was on display.
