Former vice-president Joe Biden has been determined the winner to be the next president by the news networks after a very contentious presidential election in this topsy-turvy year of 2020. After a nail-biting four days since election day of Tuesday, November 3rd, he has been named the winner of most votes in Pennsylvania which gains him 273 electoral votes. 270 electoral votes needed for the presidency, The vote count continues in several other states including Nevada, Georgia and North Carolina and Arizona.
Vice-president elect Kamala Harris will be the first woman and woman of color, as the daughter of an Indian mother and Jamaican father, to fill the office of the vice president. Her career includes being U.S. senator and attorney general of California and District Attorney of San Francisco.
President Trump has yet to concede that he has lost this election. He has initiated a number of law suits contesting the election process in several states.
