CHICAGO PRIDE PARADE 2019

July 12, 2019

On July 12, 2019, the colorful Chicago Gay Pride Parade took place. Politicians, corporate floats and representatives of the LGBTQ community joyfully wended their way down North Broadway Street. The Gay pride parade is both spectacle and social statement. Participants threw beads, candy and tchotchkes to the thousands lining the street to view the party marching by.  Rainbow flags were flying everywhere. This is Chicago's answer to Mardi Gras.
