Art Reception -“Front & Center”

Hyde Park Art Center

Participants in the 6-month Center Program, an artist professional development initiative will be showing their work at the Hyde Park Art Center in the exhibit “Front & Center from September 13, 2014 to January 4, 2015.  The opening reception will take place on Saturday, September 13th as part of a day of celebration for the 75th anniversary of the Hyde Park Art Center.

I will be displaying photos that I made of the white geo-forms being used for the construction of Maggie Daley Park in downtown Chicago.  I also will be showing several abstract pieces that I produced from the paint-splattered surfaces of the room where I took my first painting class at the Hyde Park Art Center.  

The umbrella title for my pieces included in this exhibit is “Works in Progress.”
