Happily, my image, "Pi R Squared in Blue" was selected as a Showcase winner in the New Media Division in Round 2 of the ArtSlant Chicago competition.  ArtSlant is an online website featuring art news.

This image was created from my imagination using Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop applications.

Distinguished jurors for this competition were Cara Zimmerman, Associate Vice President and Specialist in Folk and Outsider Art at Christie's; Kristin Hjellegjerde, art gallery owner in London specializing in contemporary art by international artists and Irene de Craen, artistic director of Hotel Maria Kapel in the Netherlands. Hjellegjerde's gallery was named Independent Gallery of The Year by the Londonist.

Artists are allowed to submit only one image for each of the six rounds.  Another of my images was  selected for the showcase in Round One.
